About this package
Perren backup control plane The server side of Perren: the staff console and the API that backup agents call for their configuration and to report results. Backup data does not pass through it; agents send that straight to Proxmox Backup Server. . Ships self-contained -- the .NET runtime is inside the package -- so the machine carries no SDK, no source tree and no build toolchain. . Its database is SQL Server, elsewhere. This package holds no client data beyond the keys that protect sign-in cookies, in /var/lib/perren. . Installing does not start it. The server needs a database connection string and sign-in settings in /etc/perren/perren.env first, so the service is enabled and left for an operator to start once those are filled in.
