About this package
Pinned ffmpeg build for Azimuth The exact ffmpeg and ffprobe that Azimuth's record and export paths were verified against, installed at /opt/azimuth/bin where the systemd unit points at them by absolute path. . Packaged separately from the server, and pinned by the server to an exact upstream version, because the record arguments are version-sensitive. An ffmpeg move is then a deliberate act rather than something that rides along with a routine server update. . There is deliberately no ffmpeg on PATH on an Azimuth box, and the committed default of "ffmpeg" is not a fallback: without these binaries the server starts cleanly, reports itself healthy, and records nothing at all. . Static builds from johnvansickle.com, which is the other reason this package exists. That site publishes only current releases, so once a pinned version rotates off it this registry is the only copy left.
